Justin Bieber is celebrating 2013 in style by announcing the release of his new acoustic album, BELIEVE ACOUSTIC, arriving in stores on January 29th, and is now available for pre-order on iTunes here. Then, on February 9th, he returns to Saturday Night Live, pulling double-duty as the show’s host and musical guest.
Fans should flock to BELIEVE ACOUSTIC; this highly-anticipated 11-song album offers acoustic versions of eight songs from Justin’s worldwide multi-platinum #1 album Believe. Included are acoustic takes on four of his biggest radio hits: “Boyfriend,” “As Long As You Love Me,” “Beauty And A Beat,” and “All Around The World.” Delighted listeners will also find acoustic renditions of album tracks “Take You” and “Be Alright,” as well as of “She Don’t Like The Lights” (originally a bonus track on the deluxe version of 2012’s Believe). All acoustic tracks were co-produced by Justin Bieber and his guitarist Dan Kanter.
As if that weren’t enough post-holiday pandemonium, BELIEVE ACOUSTIC also introduces previously unreleased songs “Yellow Raincoat,” produced by Justin and Tom Strahle, “I Would,” produced by Da Internz and Aaron Michael Cox, and “Nothing Like Us,” written and produced solely by Justin, which gives fans an unprecedented and intimate glimpse of young love. Fans can also expect a live studio version of “Fall,” from Believe, likewise produced by Bieber and Kanter.
In October, VEVO premiered the video for Justin’s smash single “Beauty And A Beat,” featuring Nicki Minaj. The song shattered online records by delivering 10.6 million VEVO views in the span of 24 hours. The song ripped through social media, thanks in large part to Justin’s 50 million-plus Facebook fans and 32 million-plus Twitter followers. Views on “Beauty And A Beat” now approach 135 million. In total, Justin Bieber’s music videos and original programming have spawned nearly 3.3 billion views across VEVO, the world’s leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform. Bieber has likewise crossed the 3-billion view threshold on his YouTube channel—the first music artist to do so.
In November, Justin appeared on a special edition of Oprah Winfrey’s “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” which aired in over 100 countries. Bieber then capped off his 2012 triumphantly by winning two American Music Awards—one for Favorite Pop/Rock Album, and the other for, unsurprisingly, Artist of the Year.
Justin is currently on his “BELIEVE World Tour,” which sold out in 45 minutes and was the #1 global grossing tour according to Billboard.
